Ambient Lounge brings CALM to another festival

We got involved when the Merseyside CALMzone co-ordinator, Simon Howes contacted us. “I wanted to make sure we created a cool chill out area that punters could relax in in-between bands and when I saw the Ambient Lounge website I knew we had found what we were looking for!” he said.
Organisers behind the 2 day festival are local party veterans Cream, one of the most successful clubbing brands of the past decade. The have worked with the CALM team for years on other events and where more than happy to make space for another marquee on the large rural site. The result was funky oasis of chill, providing comfort for over 800 music fans.
What’s also really interested us, is the motivation behind CALM’s work at event like this. CALM actually stands for the Campaign Against Living Miserably and is primarily aimed at men aged 15 – 35. Why? Because, on average 3 of them kill themselves everyday in England & Wales. Shocking stuff and something most of us either don’t know or don’t know what to do about. CALM’s response is to create a dynamic and interesting brand that is seen by young men at events like these and encourage lads to “open up” and not believe in the strong-silent-type myth. We’ve been impressed by their creative response to such a scarcely talked about topic...
