Summertime provides the perfect atmosphere for hanging out with friends. So little is required when my pals and I get together. Simply basking in the warmth of the sun, some good tunes, a couple cool beverages, and something comfy to sit on make for a perfect day.

I have never been one for surprise guests, so I prepared myself with outdoor bean bags for just such an occasion. It was one of a couple of precautionary steps I have taken to avoid being ill-equipped. Since meeting my husband, I have had to learn to be ready for the unexpected dinner invitee and the impromptu jam session. I used to be a hammock kind of person, but now I am all about outdoor bean bags. Formerly, when I would daydream a perfect afternoon, I would visualize a trusty hammock gently swaying in the wind. So, I up and bought my first one and my experience began. The first issue I encountered was that I either had to have an enormous base to hang it from, two trees (or posts) to tie it to, or two walls to screw the ends into. Next, I found that guests were not always hammock trained, and thus a few embarrassing spills transpired. Finally, all of the hammocks I ever owned always faded, became frayed, or ultimately stretched out of shape. This was not my dream chair after all.
Hence, I became a convert after several years, numerous hammock purchases and many moves. Now, when I fantasize about lounging around having a lazy time, I envision my designer outdoor bean bag. I’ve been told that Ambient Lounge has some new outdoor bean bags in the works. While it is exciting to think about new additions to the already exceptional line of contemporary bean furniture, I also secretly hope that many things remain the same. I personally hope that the designers keep the plush fabrics that they have selected in the past, because they really feel wonderful. In addition, the angle of the chair back is just perfect for me whether I am socializing, reading or napping.
Still, if a change is to take place, I can imagine making room for a few supplementary colours. Should their be an introduction of a few different shades, I would do my best to find a spot for a couple more beautiful bean bag chairs in my garden. They would add dimension, pizzazz, a make a wonderful excuse for inviting even more friends over.
