In case you haven’t added Bean Bag, the wombat, as a friend on Facebook, here’s the little sweetheart’s update. He continues to progress in his recovery after being shot multiple times in the wild, and left for dead. In fact, he is behaving like a healthy juvenile when it comes to his home life. Most recently, he dug up his adopted human father’s pond. Tough break for pops, but Bean Bag just stares up at him with his adorable eyes and dad forgives all.
Also, Bean Bag is about to receive a surprise visit from Bob Irwin, the Australian naturalist, animal conservationist, and father of the beloved celebrity Steve Irwin. This will definitely raise the tiny wombat’s spirits. We can’t wait to read all about it, and see the photos too.

This month Ambient Lounge shipped its first leather bean bag to the United States. While the quality of the leather makes it a heavy commodity, the client was elated with the prospect of being the earliest American to display the designer chair.
Firsts are certainly exciting, and this was one that was a joy felt on both continents. Upon receipt, the buyer informed us of her elation and plans to place another order at Christmas. She notified us that her daughter had taken a liking to the piece immediately, and as such it would make a grand gift for her at the holiday. We were happy to hear that our beloved chair would not be long abroad alone.

There is a loveable wombat named Bean Bag, who had a near death experience early on in life. It was shot 5 times in a remote area of Australia, and left to die. Luckily, the Wombat Awareness Organisation was holding its routine inspections and found the desperate creature. In addition to the multiple bullet holes, it was covered in mange, bites and wounds. He is expected to make a full recovery after much nurturing and multiple surgeries.
However, there is a great deal of concern for Bean Bag, and many other wombats, that face huge hurdles in this day and age. Presently, there is a hunting spree occurring to limit the animals. In addition, Sarcoptic mange has taken the lives of nearly 80% of particular wombat populations, and continues its advance.
Hence, Bean Bags ultimate impending release is a bit ominous. There is no suitable release site as of yet. Safety is of course critical in the future of this adorable bundle.
