There is a big shakeup going on in UK furniture retail.

Leading UK Department store retailer Debenhams wants to lift the profile of its furniture product offer by targeting its most loyal shoppers with a dedicated home catalogue. Debenhams hopes the 68-page publication - which it will mail to its circa 200,000 store card holders - will provide a sales fillip to its big-ticket furniture and electricals categories.

Debenhams' divisional trading director for Home, Steve Lightfoot, said the company wanted customers to reappraise the company as a homeware destination. A number of its successful apparel labels - such as John Rocha and Ben de Lisi - will put their name to home products too.

It's been a long time coming again for the Kiwis and they were made to work for it by a typically determined and tough French outfit. Les Blues nearly snatched it from their more fancied rivals as we though the All-Black Hoodoo World Cup was coming back to haunt them again. As for the Champion's legue ...it's been an absolute pleasure watching Barcelon with Lionel Messi wielding his magic. In our opinion he is the best player since Maradonna. It's not shabby watching Real Madrid with Ronaldo either. We love lots of goals in nuetral games!
